Temple Adas Shalom, a Reform congregation in Havre de Grace, Maryland seeks a part-time Director of Education beginning Summer 2021. The Director of Education will oversee formal and informal youth education and will work closely with the Rabbi, staff and lay leadership to engage our children, youth and families in all aspects of Jewish life, helping them create strong bonds with one another, the synagogue community, and the Jewish people as a whole.

ELIGIBILITY: The Director will have a strong background in Jewish education; a demonstrated involvement in and passion for Jewish life; a commitment to Reform Judaism, pluralism, and the values thereof; competence in Hebrew; excellent interpersonal, communication skills and teaching skills; and an ability to hire, inspire, mentor and evaluate faculty.

CLASSIFICATION: Part-time (flexible), including some Shabbat evenings, holidays and Sunday mornings; and occasional Shabbatot/weekends as we look to expand informal and immersive experiences. Schedule to be coordinated with the Religious School Chair and Rabbi.
